New Heights Church

Who: Infants through 5th grade
When: 9:00 a.m. & 10:45 a.m.
Where: The Boys and Girls Club (same as the adults).  The kids have their own worship services planned just for them.  We call their experience Jesus Junction: where kids and Jesus meet. 

Kids are a big deal at New Heights.  We believe that when Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me” he indicated that children have a desire and ability to encounter him personally.  At New Heights, we call our children’s ministry Jesus Junction because we want it to be a crossroads where that encounter happens.   To achieve this we focus on fostering safe, spiritually significant relationships between children and adults.  We believe that kids encounter Jesus through the people he indwells.  We also focus on teaching the Bible with a special emphasis on the message about Jesus.  Finally, we encourage children to connect with Jesus by applying their faith through prayer, worship, and service. 

Here are some things your child will experience at Jesus Junction:

Safety and security-
Protection of the children who come to us is the highest priority in our ministry.  When you and your family come in the door, you will be welcomed by one of our area supervisors.  That person will check your child into the ministry, help your children find their areas, and answer any questions you may have.  Area supervisors make sure safety and security policies and procedures are followed every week.  For more information on these, see our volunteer handbook.

Infants and toddlers-
We love it that New Heights is full of new life.  Your child will be welcomed by loving volunteers who will hold them, play with them, and pray for them in a safe, fun environment.

Two to Five-
Kids in this age range are concrete thinkers.  How wonderful that God has presented himself through story.  Our goal to present the story of God during the early childhood years to give kids a set of lenses through which to see God. 

Kindergarten-5th Grade-
Our elementary ministry is deep and wide.  We go deep with kids, challenging them to discover God’s plan for their lives.  While doing this, we keep our appeal wide.  We want to reach every child no matter their background or learning style.  To do all of this, we present elementary children with a variety of experiences every Sunday morning.  From the deep mentoring of our 9:00 a.m. D-Time to the high energy worship of our 10:45 a.m. service called Vertical, everything contributes to these goals.
