"Worship One, Serve One" You may have heard us say this before. Serving on Sunday morning is a great way to be involved, and since we have two worship services, it works pretty well to worship one service, and serve the other. We encourage everyone to be involved in serving. Here's how:
Because we meet in a rented space, there is a lot of work involved in getting ready for the services and puttin gthings up afterward. Come early and help set up chairs, children's equipment, audio and video gear, and more. Or stay late and help us put everything back into storage. People involved in Set-up generally start serving at either 6:30 or 7:00 a.m., depending on what area they help with. The Take-down crew stays after the 2nd service until around 1:00 p.m.. If you'd like to try this, contact Brian Bailey (479-527-6424).
Hold a baby. It's easy to do. Or lead a small group of elementry kids (don't worry, the lessons are already prepared for you). Sing, teach, or be part of a drama for a large group of kids.
Interested? Contact Nathan Wilkerson (479-527-6424).
Go one-on-one with a child with special needs. Your partnership with one special-needs child will help him or her learn about God's amazing love with less hindrances. It's a great way to serve a child, their family, and their peers. For more information, contact Ben Richards at 916-753-4632 or 479-527-6424 or ben [at] newheightschurch [dot] com.
Greeting Team
Welcome people as they come into the church. Say "Hi" a lot. Give them the weekly handout. Help first-time visitors find their way around. Contact Rene Bleakley (479-751-5256).
We give people the opportunity to take communion every Sunday. This group of people makes that possible. For more information, contact Rene Bleakley (479-751-5256).
Every Sunday morning during both services, a few people meet in the prayer area to pray for the srevice and for anyone who asks for prayer. Try serving here once a month.
