"... Hope and a Future"
Potter's House is a ministry to at-risk students in Fayetteville. We serve students in kindergarten-high school through small group Bible studies, one-on-one mentoring, tutoring, extra-curricular activities, and life-on-life involvement.

We are blessed to allow our kids to take part in several different camps throughout the summer. For every camp we raise support or have spots donated by the camp to allow our kids to go.
Kids Across America (KAA) is an urban Christian sports camp affiliated with Kanakuk in Missouri. We take kids age 10-18 for a week of sports, games, challenges, Bible lessons, and more. Each year we see our kids' lives impacted and changed.
Higher ground (HG) is a leadership camp run through KAA. Several of our kids participate in this 3 year program which includes year round Bible studies, service projects, and an overseas mission trip.
Arkansas Athletes Outreach (AAO) hosts a day sports camp during the summer where University of Arkansas athletes team up with the kids and play outdoor games for a week. It is a great opportunity for our kids to see the athletes they already look up to as role models for positive lifestyles.
Each week we pick up and serve around 75 kids through small group ministry. We have 13 small groups ranging from pre-school age to 17 and around 50 volunteers who drive and lead the small group time. Each small group meets at a host home within the community and spends time playing games, having Bible study, doing crafts, memorizing Scriptures, playing dodgeball and more. Small group time is meant to teach the Bible but also to be a time when life-on-life ministry can take place.
Every year Potter's House holds the Give Away Day in south Fayetteville. We collect toys and monetory donation from local churches, businesses, families, and other groups. The week before Christmas we open the doors of The Boys and Girls Club and are able to provide new toys for families in need. All gifts are handpicked by the parents and then taken to be gift wrapped by a team of volunteers. Over 300 families (around 700 children) are served by over 100 volunteers.
Throughout the year our small groups participate in a variety of service projects. Several groups worked monthly with a benevolence ministry organizing clothes and food to be donated. Other groups volunteered their time by mowing, raking, and fixing up yards in south Fayetteville or making cookies for a nursing home.
Several of our Potter's House volunteers spend time each week going into the other schools and tutoring our students. Many of our students need an extra bit of help during the day to stay focused and do their work and our tutors provide just the help they need. We have worked with several school principals and teachers and hope to provide more tutoring opportunities in the future.
One of PH's goals is to have a mentor for every child we serve. Mentors are people who desire to invest fully into the life of a child by spending time with them, praying for them, bringing them into their homes, encouraging them, and loving them. Mentors bring the children they mentor into their lives and involve them in their everyday activities-whether that means going to a baseball game, spending the night, or getting ice-cream.
