Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city... Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper."

This summer, let's go on more prayer walks on muggy evenings. Let's pray for next door neighbors and the people we pass on the street. Let's engage with the poor.  Let's ask the Holy Spirit to give us spiritual eyes when we are going to the store or the café, and act in response to His prompting.  Let's invite someone over for a barbeque whom we don't know very well, or have an after sundown dinner with a person from the Middle East. This summer, let's be the aroma of Christ to those we meet, hopeful about what God is doing all around us, in this city.  Let's be a joyful, glowing source of light to people who need Jesus.
