Kids should LOVE to come to church!

Our goal at New Heights is to help families own the spiritual development of the next generation. We want kids to know truth and believe in God’s word, and to really encounter the love of Jesus.

We also work to equip and resource parents to know how to talk with and train their children to follow Jesus.

We have worship and small group experiences geared toward each age and stage in a child's life, with strong leaders who will invest in their lives. Select an age range below to learn more.

We begin teaching our youngest about the love of Jesus through music, play time, art, and storytelling. So that we can impact each child in an age-appropriate way, we separate our young children into different groups based on their birthdays.

New Heights Early Childhood Ministry
At New Heights we value relationships between our leaders and kids. We start placing children in small groups in the Pre-K ministry! Pre-K kids, 3-5 year olds not yet in Kindergarten, start their morning off in their small groups where they will play with games and toys together. After the majority of the families have arrived, the kids will rotate through stations that allow them to be more hands on and active, learning the lesson for the week. Next is large group time where we learn to worship God, and where the story is shared. After large group, the kids go back to their small groups where they will pray for each other and the nations, and enjoy crafts and a snack.

Younger elementary kids begin on Sunday by joining their small group (grade and gender specific) for some fun hands-on activities. Then, we gather as a large group to worship and hear the teaching. We close out the mornings with small groups to discuss the teaching and prayer.

New Heights K-2 Service
Older aged elementary school kids will start with their small groups engaging with the day’s lesson through activities and games. We then provide a corporate worship and teaching time in the large group area across the hall. Afterwards we return to the classrooms and have a prayer and response time led by passionate leaders who desire to help spiritually develop the next generation.

Important Info

You can check in your entire family at any of the check-in stations. Key tags are readily available at any time for your convenience. Your children will receive a name tag with a security number; you will receive a tag with the same number. You will be required to show this tag to enter our secure children’s ministry areas and to pick up your children.  You can also check in from your phone - just download the New Heights Church app.  See below for more info.

In the event we need to contact you during the worship service, we will first text your cell phone. If needed, we can post your security number on the screen in the service.

All Children’s Ministry leaders have been background-screened, reference-checked and trained to help children engage in God’s truth and partner with parents to model the life of a Christ follower.

This summer, elementary kids are learning all about God’s Heart for the Nations, and what people in other parts of the world believe.  Our younger children will continue with the Big God Story, until August 28, when our entire ministry will go ORANGE!
