DISABILITY AND INCLUSION

We believe that every person was created in the image of God. Through this belief, we know that every person deserves the opportunity to join the faith family of New Heights Church. We partner with families affected by disability to provide the support needed for every family member to be able to worship and enjoy community.

Our prayer for Sunday mornings is that our friends with disabilities will get the opportunity to meet Jesus face to face in any capacity. We know that Jesus has created each person with GREAT purpose.

1:1 Ministry

We strive to create an inclusive environment at New Heights for all who attend. Our committed and trained volunteers pair 1:1 with a person of any age who needs extra support during our Sunday morning programs. Regardless of an individual’s needs, we desire that they participate with their peers as they worship and learn together. Our team has been encouraged and blessed through serving those with special needs!

We want to help your family grow together and learn about Jesus. This growth can happen in many ways; our goal is to come alongside your family to share in the journey.

Please contact our disABILITY and Inclusion Ministry Team Leader, Jennifer Nicholas (jennifer@newheightschurch.com) if you or a family member would benefit from this ministry.

Sensory Room

The sensory room provides a designated space and ministry for individuals with sensory needs. While we are passionate about inclusion, we know that typical programming can be too stimulating for some people. Through committed volunteers, we provide a calm atmosphere for them to encounter the knowledge and love of Christ. Please feel free to visit the Sensory Room, located in the Early Childhood wing at the Boys and Girls Club, any time on Sunday morning!
