South Church
South Church is an outreach through John Baker's ministry to the unhoused and food insecure in south Fayetteville. New Heights community groups serve dinner on the 4th Sunday of each month to a group of up to 150 people.
Serving at South Church is a great way for your community group to serve together.

What’s involved
The time commitment is 4-6 pm. Beforehand, Debi helps with menu selection, determining quantities and creating a sign-up link to share, and is available for guidance along the way.
On serve day individuals from the group show up with their items, prep and set-up the serving area and then serve the meal with a smile and dignity. While we love letting children serve, consider that children under 6 usually need extra supervision. We encourage you to consider bringing extra hands not involved in serving the meal to help with little ones.
After we serve, we clean up and pray for those we have served. Many groups gather afterward for their own meal either at a home or go out as a group. Most groups feel it's been a wonderful experience to be tangibly involved for this community and to work alongside each other.
