College Ministry at New Heights is about life-on-life relationships. We believe God desires all ages and all walks of life to encourage one another. College students are involved in the adult worship service on Sunday Mornings. We believe in community and offer both mixed demographic and college-age community groups that are led by adults in our church. One of the best ways for college students to get involved is by serving in one of the many ministries of New Heights like children's ministry, special needs ministry, Sunday serve team, youth ministry and Potter’s House.

Intergenerational Community

We believe God desires all ages and all walks of life to encourage one another therefore students are involved in the adult worship service on Sunday Mornings. We  also believe in community and offer both mixed demographic and college-age community groups that are both led by adults in our church. These groups offer a chance for students to eat with others and learn how to follow Jesus in the context of everyday life.

Life-on-Life Mentorship

If students are interested in being mentored we have adult leaders who would love to spend time imparting truth that they have learned from their Christian walk.

Serving

An important part of a student’s discipleship is to serve and experience Jesus’s heart for others. Students can serve in one of the many ministries of New Heights Church on Sunday mornings, like children's ministry, special needs ministry, Sunday serve team or youth ministry. They can also be a part of our monthly serving with Intersection, a dinner served to low-income families and the homeless community.

Second Sunday Lunch

Second Sunday Lunch

The second Sunday of the month we meet at the Boys and Girls Club at 12:15 PM (after the second service) for food, fellowship, communication, and prayer. All college students are welcome - those who are already connected at New Heights and those who are trying to find connection!

This will be a great time to enjoy some home-cooking, meet new people, have small group discussion, and find out ways to plug in at New Heights.

Host Homes

As a part of students experiencing intergenerational community, once a semester we have families host college students for a lunch in their homes after church. These lunches are incredibly times for students to see families living out a life of following Jesus in their contexts.

Mission Opportunities

college-mission-trip2.jpg

We believe God has a heart for the nations. Students have many opportunities to experience cross-cultural missions with short-term trips. We also partner with other mission agencies to help send any student who is looking for a trip not provided.

If a student is exploring the idea of full-time missions work, or wants to see how God works in another country, join us for a week long trip at Spring Break or join us over the summer for one of our Global Training School trips.
